P1 means probe 1 has failed. That is the sensor CellarPro uses to read the cellar and decide when to cool. Rather than stop, the unit switches to a timed auto-cycle, 12 minutes on and 8 off, and keeps that pattern until the probe is repaired or replaced. With no number it can trust, the unit may chill the room well below 55°F, stop and start every few minutes, or run on without end.
