AH1 is the high temperature alarm, based on the bottle probe rather than the air. It trips when the probe reads 4°F over the setpoint on SC PRO, Extreme tiR and Ceiling Mount H.E. manuals, and 8°F over on the 2022 Platinum Split and Phantom manuals. Temperature alarms are held off for the first 10 hours after power-up while the cellar stabilizes. The reason can be as small as the cellar door left ajar after a tasting or a long outage, a room gaining heat from new lights or a sunny glass wall, or as serious as cooling that has stopped. Give a new or restarted unit time; a full cellar of warm bottles takes a while to pull down. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why did AH1 appear after I loaded new bottles into my WhisperKOOL cellar? Warm bottles raise the probe reading, and the unit needs time to bring them down. WhisperKOOL's first step is simply to allow that time. ### Is the WhisperKOOL AH1 limit the same on every model? No. The manuals set it 4°F above setpoint on SC PRO, Extreme tiR and Ceiling Mount H.E., and 8°F above on some Platinum Split and Phantom editions. ### Could a wrong probe reading cause AH1 on a WhisperKOOL? Yes.
