The cause is as often a shared circuit, a tripped GFCI outlet, a loose connection or a storm outage as the unit itself. If you use a wireless remote or remote sensor, bring it closer to the unit or connect it with the supplied cable. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Will !4 stop my Wine Guardian from cooling? No. Wine Guardian keeps the system running during !4, although the readings you see may be stale until communication returns. ### Can a spliced cable cause !4 on a Wine Guardian? Yes. Wine Guardian allows only a straight-through RJ9 coupler for a splice, and the wire colors must match on both sides. A wrong coupler is a common cause. ### Does a wireless remote cause !4 more often? It can, because distance and walls weaken the signal.
