What the cellars here do to wine cellar cooling units, the areas we cover, and how to book." url: "https://winecellarrepair.center/locations/orlando/" --- Orlando, FL # Wine cellar cooling unit repair in Orlando. Orlando's custom and vacation houses often include a glass wine room beside the dining room or the game room, and the owners may be away for months. Summer lightning, afternoon storms and hurricanes like Ian and Milton cut power, and a cellar in an empty house depends on an alarm that reaches someone. The room's glass and sun exposure set its load more than its size does. ## What Orlando does to a wine cellar cooling unit. Three hurricanes reached the Orlando metro in the single 2004 season, and Charley did the most harm of the three. Orlando's thermometer tops 90°F on average from about April 9 to October 14, and summer humidity can push the heat index past 110°F. Orlando's all-time high of 103°F dates from September 8, 1921. Freezing nights are rare in Orlando, only 1.6 a year on average, and an annual mean minimum just above 30°F puts the city in hardiness zone 10a. The counties ### Newer developments Homeowner associations in planned communities often limit where a condenser may stand and how loud it may be, so a split system's outdoor unit may sit screened in a side yard with little air around it, and the repair checks that clearance. ### Seasonal houses A cellar in a seasonal house runs unwatched for months, and owners do best with a controller that alerts their phone when temperature or humidity strays, since a warm cellar found on arrival may have been warm for weeks. ### Tasting rooms and bars A tasting room beside a cellar often has a sink and a bar, and a leak from those or from the unit's condensate line runs toward outlets near the floor; with water near an outlet, stay clear and use the breaker only from a dry panel. ## The work, in Orlando. Ten wine cellar cooling unit repairs, cheapest first, each with what Orlando changes about it. [What we do](https://winecellarrepair.center/services/) ### Wine cellar cooling diagnostic visit Many Orlando cellars were built into custom and vacation houses behind a glass wall off the dining room, and the diagnostic measures how much heat that glass lets in on a summer afternoon before it blames the cooling unit for a cellar sitting at 62 degrees. ### Cellar cooling load and room check An Orlando wine room built on a slab with a west wall in the afternoon sun carries far more heat than its size suggests, and the room check measures wall and glass temperatures and the unit's output to show whether a larger unit or better insulation is the answer. ### Cellar evaporator and condenser fan repair Orlando wine rooms that open onto a busy game room or a pool deck pull dust and pet hair into the exhaust side, and a condenser fan pushing air through a matted coil runs hot and loud, so the repair cleans the coil and replaces a motor with worn bearings. ### Cellar condensate drain and pump repair In an Orlando wine room the condensate line may travel a long way to reach a drain, and a pump that fails between rental guests floods the cellar floor with nobody there, so the repair replaces the pump and adds a float switch that stops the unit before water spills. ### Cellar coil icing and defrost repair Guests in an Orlando rental who prop the wine room door open let humid air flood the evaporator, which ices and stops cooling, so the repair clears the coil, checks the door closer and seal and tests the defrost timing. ### Cellar humidity control repair Orlando cellars in houses closed up between rentals can drift past 75 percent humidity once the house air conditioning is set high to save power, and the repair checks the unit's run time and the room's seals before the labels start to mold. ### Cellar compressor and sealed system repair In an Orlando rental with a wine room, guests who set the controller as low as it goes keep the compressor running around the clock, and the repair measures its amperage and head pressure to learn whether those seasons left it worn out or only overheated. ### Cellar controller and sensor repair Rental guests in Orlando find a cellar controller on the wall and change it, so the repair often begins by restoring the setpoint, locking the keypad where the model allows and making sure the probe still hangs mid-room rather than in front of the cold supply grille. ### Split-system cellar line set repair An Orlando custom house may route a split system's line set through the attic, where summer heat soaks into copper behind a sun-cracked jacket, and the repair re-insulates the suction line so the cellar gets the cooling the condenser sends. ### Cellar cooling leak search and recharge In Orlando's heat a cellar unit that has lost part of its charge runs longer every month while the owner of a rental notices nothing, and the repair traces the leak at the brazed joints and service valves before recharging, since topping up without a fix only buys a few weeks. ## The wine cellar cooling units we see most here.
