What LO
actually means.

LO flashes when the temperature input drops below 32°F. In a room kept near 55°F, that points to the sensor, its wiring or where a probe is sitting, rather than to a frozen cellar. Breezaire separately flashes the plain temperature once the reading falls below 43°F, as an earlier prompt.

What to do when LO shows on the wine cellar cooling unit

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Breezaire's own guidance for LO on its wine cellar cooling units. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Read the cellar with a separate thermometer; if it is near your setpoint, the sensor reading is the problem.

02

If a bottle probe is used, check that it has not ended up in the cold air outlet or against a cold surface.

03

If the room really is near freezing, unplug the unit and keep the door shut; Breezaire units only cool and have no heater.

04

If the thermometer and the display disagree, book a visit so the sensor circuit can be measured.

What not to do

LO is not the same as a cellar running a few degrees cold, which the Sentry III shows by flashing the temperature below 43°F. It is not Er either, because with LO the sensor still answers, just with a value too low to trust.

What you may
notice with it.

Questions
about LO.

Can I clear LO myself?
Read the cellar with a separate thermometer; if it is near your setpoint, the sensor reading is the problem. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
My cellar reads 55°F on a thermometer, so why does the Breezaire show LO?
The controller is receiving a value under 32°F that the room does not match. A damaged sensor, a pinched cord or a probe sitting in the cold discharge can each produce it.
Can a Breezaire freeze the cellar?
It only cools and has no heater, so a cold basement in winter can drift below your setpoint with the unit idle. If the room is genuinely that cold, the cause is outside the unit and LO is simply reporting it.
What is the difference between LO and a flashing temperature on a Breezaire?
A flashing number means the reading is below 43°F, a real but unusual chill. LO means the input is below 32°F, a value the controller flags for you to check.

Still showing LO?

When you book, type the code or the blink count as the controller shows it, add the full model number, and say what the thermometer in the cellar reads now — that gives the technician a head start.
