What LA
actually means.
LA is CellarPro's low temperature alarm, preset at 45°F. It usually means the space around the cellar has turned cold, or the minimum setpoint is set lower than intended. CellarPro's advice is to raise the ambient temperature or the minimum setpoint. Like HA, it is held off for the first 23 hours of operation.

What to do when LA shows on the wine cellar cooling unitKind of codeTemperature and alarms
The controller saw the cellar go past a high or low limit and raised an alarm, sometimes holding the worst reading it logged while the house was empty. The reason can be as small as the cellar door left ajar after a tasting or a long outage, a room gaining heat from new lights or a sunny glass wall, or as serious as cooling that has stopped. Keep the door shut and read a thermometer on a middle rack before touching anything; the alarm is a warning about the collection, not yet a diagnosis.
Usually leads toCellar cooling load and room check
Measuring the cellar as the cooling unit sees it: insulation, vapor barrier, door, glass and the heat load, to show whether the unit can ever keep up.
Shows up asWine Cellar Too Cold
A wine cellar too cold feels like stepping into a walk-in: the thermometer sits in the 40s, bottles come out beaded with water, and the unit keeps running long after the room should have been satisfied.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from CellarPro's own guidance for LA on its wine cellar cooling units. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Check the minimum setpoint on the panel and raise it if it was set too low.
If the cellar sits next to a cold garage or outside wall in winter, add gentle heat to the room.
If the unit keeps cooling while the cellar is below 45°F, switch it off and book a visit.

It usually turns into cellar cooling load and room check. Book with the code and the model number.
What not to do
LA is not a failure of the cooling system in itself. If the unit is idle and the room is cold, it is doing nothing wrong.
